Speed limit alerts usually come from Intelligent Speed Assist (ISA), required on many EU-market vehicles from 2024 onward. Beepaway does not remove the speed-limit display or camera-based detection — it permanently silences the audio alerts (beeps and chimes) via a VIN-specific configuration file on USB. Visual warnings on your dash stay active so you still see the limit; only the distracting sounds are disabled while the USB remains inserted.

If the speed warning chime is what bothers you, you are not alone — drivers report frequent false triggers from GPS lag, temporary limits, and sign misreads. Factory menus sometimes offer a volume or "acoustic warning" toggle, but it may return after updates or restarts. Beepaway targets the chime layer directly: our config file tells your vehicle's software to stop playing ISA audio feedback, without affecting lane assist, emergency braking, or other safety alerts.

On many trims, Intelligent Speed Assist shares hardware and software with traffic sign recognition (TSR) or road-sign assist — the camera reads signs and the car compares your speed. Settings are often under Driver Assistance → Traffic Sign Recognition or Speed Limit Assist, but naming and availability vary by model year and market. If menus are missing or changes do not stick, Beepaway offers a reliable alternative: mute ISA audio through a matched USB file while sign-based visual indicators continue to work.

Most vehicles do not ship with a true one-tap "mute ISA" shortcut. Quick fixes in forums — holding steering-wheel buttons, buried infotainment paths — often only last one drive cycle or one model year.
